Lights.

That’s all I can see as the airplane pulls further and further away from Florida’s coast. I can’t help but stare. Those lights represent so much… familiarity, comfort, friends, family, etc.

A strange feeling washes over me as the lights are eventually swallowed up by the darkness now filling the window. Strange because I probably won’t see those lights again for one year. America my home just became America the distant.

A few days ago I landed in Atlanta, Georgia, reunited with my squad, settled into a hotel room, and enjoyed a wonderful few days of training. This was Adventures In Mission’s big send off for us. Over the course of those few days we were equipped, challenged, exhorted, prayed over, and reminded of Jesus’ commission. What an opportunity! A year of being encouraged by team mates, of sharing the Gospel in 11+ countries, of serving God’s amazing servants who have been on the field for many years, and a year of pursuing the Lord in relentless fashion. Wow!

GOD IS GOOD!

That’s all I can think about as I stare out of this window into blackness. God is such a good Father. What an incredible day in which we live to be able to take the Gospel anywhere in the world in a matter of hours. And what a God who brought in $18,200.00 in just over 4 months! What even!? Of course, I can’t forget the amazing people God has placed around me who made this whole mission possible.

Thank you for listening to the Holy Spirit. Thank you for your staggering generosity and excitement in what God is in my life and in ministries around the world. Thank you for listening to the Spirit because it is changing my life!

God has been and is continuing to confront my spiritual life each and every day in deeper ways than I have ever known. He is leading me into a relationship that is actually personal. One where He talks to me as opposed to me just talking to Him. A relationship where I am actually beginning to understand and connect with His Spirit daily as opposed to once every few months. A relationship where He just keeps pressing further and further into my space. So much so that it hurts and is scary because I haven’t experienced this vulnerability with God in a long time. It’s literally like He just won’t let me go. Wow! Thank you God for you relentless pursuit of Connor!

True, the first month of the World Race has officially begun. In an hour we will land in Medellin, Colombia where will the drive to San Pedro, Colombia. The race has begun but the Lord’s work is ongoing! Remember, you don’t have to leave America to experience more of God. You do however have to tear your walls down, let God out of the box you have Him in, and actually give Him a chance to speak to you… then you must obey.

Please obey. It is worth it.

I promise.
